History of Polyester and Microfiber

Unlike most fabrics, polyester was the result of scientific endeavors. Its roots go back to the 1930s when W.H. Carothers of DuPont discovered how to create fibers by combining alcohols with carboxyl acids. The technology was further developed by British scientists C.G. Ritchie and W.K.
